The Look: 20s Makeup Trend

The Great Gatsby is the film on everyone’s lips, it has inspired this seasons fashion and beauty with faux bobs, smouldering eyes and port lips but how do you make it work for you? maybe you want to inject a little into your current make-up look but shy from dark lips or love the over-all look but prefer a softer day time version.

I decided to do a modern 20s look 3 ways starting from a soft version building to a vampy dramatic makeup all with ease and little products.

The Question Lips or Eyes?

Focal point – Lips
If you don’t want to do the full look just try a red cherry lip, the modern way to wear it is soft focus eye make-up and polished skin.

Focal point – Eyes

To stop the look seeming to theatrical go for a delicate base and very soft lip stain. Avoid the nude lip look as it can look a little more 60s.
