Inside April 2012 Glossy Box

This month Glossy Box have gone green so to support the environment and celebrate Earth month they have created their all new Natural Box. For this they have taken their trademark pink box and gone for a 100% biodegradable version which contains some fantastic organic products.

A look At The Products In The Gallery

I love the natural look of this box, it compliments the ethical products perfectly. The products themselves are pretty special too, each is either organic or contains natural ingredients making this a very special edition to the Glossy Box family.

Caudalie – Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum. Full Size £29.00
Made from natural, organic grape water this is a potent serum that restores the skins moisture balance by diffusing water deep within the skin.
What makes Grape water unique?
“Every spring, the vine saturates its grapes with plant water rich in moisturizing polysaccharides, trace elements and vitamins.” — Mathilde Thomas, Founder of Caudalie

-Smells great, this has a fresh green aroma that makes me feel relaxed. The serum itself is quite thin and more of a liquid than gel. It absorbs easily into the skin making it a perfect prep for moisturiser. I did a make-up on one of the girls yesterday from Space NK and to moisturise she picked up the Vinosource moisturiser as it again absorbs quickly and hydrates. A true testiment to Caudalie as there are so many natural to high-tech skincare brands in store to choose from.

Inka Cosmetics – Certifies Organic Eyeliner. Full Size £11.75

This natural eyeliner is part of the Truth in Beauty trust, this is a guarantee to show this product is cruelty free, safe, ethical and environmentally conscious.

-It’s a very pigmented soft eyeliner that applies easily, it would be great to create an easy smoky eye however it does move quite a lot and you may find it transfers. Try applying a black eyeshadow on top to set it in place.

Monu Professional Skincare – Moisture Rich Collagen Cream. Full Size £17.50
This cream promises to relieve dryness and smooth fine lines. It is packed with a large number of fantastic oils from Rose and Geranium to Evening Primrose and Blackcurrent seed oils. To add to all this they have included Shea Butter (which I always love),Sodium Hyaluronate, Marine Collagen and Plant flavonoids. But what does it do? Dryness is instantly relieved and comfort restored.Fine surface lines appear smoother (hooray) skin is protected and feels firmer and toned.

-I haven’t used this anywhere near enough to give an opinion on its qualities however I used some on the backs of my hands which were looking dehydrated and a little older and it has made them feel super soft and almost diffused any fine lines. It is recommended for Dry, Very Dry or Dehydrated Skin.

Figs & Rouge – Lip Balm. Full Size £3.29

100% pure, natural and organic; this multi-tasker can be used on lips, face and body.

-Don’t expect this to be like normal lipbalm, this is more of a balmy moisturiser that almost melts on the skin. As it contains no petroleum it’s not solid and greasy like other brands, this is delicate and a very small amount is needed. I received the Cherry & Vanilla balm which smells delicious and even works brilliantly on cuticles, give it a try!

Burt’s Bees – Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion. Full Size £9.99
This body lotion claims to last up to 24 hours and is 99% natural.

-I am a complete Burt’s Bees virgin…ok I know! This felt instantly hydrating on my skin and smells like humbugs it really made my mouth water.
