Sheer Skirt and Winter Mints

sheer skirt

Most of the time I purchase pieces that are seasonless, I don’t mean trend-led, well that too, but I mean items that can be worn whatever the weather and layered if necessary. It’s partly down to the UK weather as the seasons are never so extreme that 4 completely different wardrobes are needed. Of course I’ll get thin dresses and heavy coats to adjust the layers but it’s usually just a few pieces that are purchased for that particular scenario.

I was going to archive this mint skirt for the warmer months as I felt it wasn’t Winter appropriate to wear now but I visioned it with chunky cable knits in a metallic shade, or a high neck, which is exactly what I decided to do, so left it out.

If you saw my wardrobe you’d be quite surprised, it’s smaller than my partners however I’ve learnt over the years how to create the best staple wardrobe and spending the most money on the classics. I’ll definitely have to do a video on this next year!

You can see my post here of how I styled this garment for Summer, this time around I went for a completely different vibe, okay, okay, I swapped the white for black but it’s slightly more polished. We stopped off at our favourite lunch time spot Arlo’s in Jesmond and I went the most amazing fig and feta cheese quinoa salad, Richard opted for the halloumi cheese burger and wedges which looked divine. If you’re a non-meat eater like me I’d recommend this place as there’s a great deal of choice.
