Review: China Glaze Heat Index Nail Polish

Heat Index

I’m not very girly girl but I seem to be having a moment with pink at the moment, bright pink at that. Maybe it’s the season?

Heat Index is a neon pink which is seriously bright with a smooth “jelly” finish. This was super sheer,  In the images using the nail wheel the palest nail has 1 coat and the brighter nail has 2 coats. The image of the polish on my own nails had 3 coats.

I should also mention these were applied over Essie Mademoiselle which is a natural soft pink. Neons look best over white nail polish to show their true colour and brightness but I didn’t have mine available for the photographs.

Opinion

If you’re looking for a bright nail to compliment a tan or to contrast against a neutral outfit then this is it. I picked mine up at Salon Services for £3.95.

If you are impatient when it comes to nails this may not be your bag as it takes quite some effort to gain an opaque finish. It also takes some time to remove as the layers combined with the white polish creates a tough layer. I would advise to soak some cotton pads in nail polish remover and hold them on the nails for a few minuted before swiping away other wise you will be rubbing for days.

This is part of their Sunsational collection and you can get 11 other bright shades.
