Portfolio: Track & Field

I have another photoshoot breakdown today, I posted a picture to my instagram yesterday showing ‘When a face chart come to life’. This  Track and Field shoot was for Chase Magazine issue 3. We wanted an androgynous, sporty high fashion shoot so this make-up sprung to mind for me. It’s strong, moody and angular.

The brows were the hardest in creating this overall look, it is those that complete this image to give the illusion of a heavy brow bone I needed to cancel out the brow. The model Rachel is with Boss model management so although I would have loved to bleach the brows I needed to consider her agency so the only way we could cancel the brows was blocking.

I used Grimas brow wax on a cleansed oil free face and set with loose powder. I then sponged on a little dermablend which is a good coverage then set with powder again, then applied a little Bobbi Brown Concealer in Porcelain. I finished with the base colour I was using for the rest of her face. The rest was a synch, use a darker shade on the inner corner and fade into the brown to accentuate the low heavy brow effect. The face chart I created shows the colours and shaping in detail.
