The Oxygen facial is a firm favourite amongst the Hollywood elite with Madonna,Brad Pitt and Eva Longoria being huge fans. It is the non-surgical alternative to Botox and Fillers that promises to give instant results of plumper firmer looking skin but what did I think of mine when I visited Beauty Visage South Shields?

Wahanda kindly gave me the opportunity to treat myself by sending me a £50 gift voucher to spend at any beauty salon that accepts Wahanda vouchers. I was only interested in getting a facial and had been hearing great things about the Oxygen facials so did a little research and found a beauty salon in my Town which did this particular facial!

Beauty Visage is placed on King George road in South Shields and is within a beautiful converted bungalow. At first I passed the venue as I thought it was just a house but I noticed the car with brand logo outside.

I was greeted by the kind and very approachable owner and Beauty Therapist Bev who sat me down to go through the treatment procedure and pre treatment questions. The facial began with cleansing and massage then a product from the Environ range was applied before the Oxygen facial began. Environ is a hugely popular skincare range loved by celebrities but more importantly skin professionals! The oxygen machine is a little like an airbrush gun. Oxygen is blown onto the skin to push the vitamins and products deeper into the skins layers for a plumper more hydrated appearance. The treatment works by plumping out fine lines and the hydration prevents further lines and ageing.

After the treatment the therapist gave me an additional treat and placed a 24k gold face mask on to the skin then strapped a plastic mask over the top which pumped oxygen into the mask. At first it felt a little claustrophobic but I relaxed very quickly and may have fallen asleep!..

Afterwards my skin felt fresh,dewy and soft.I walked home makeup free and didn’t mind at all as my skin looked great. The treatment was £59 or £249 for a session of 5.

I cannot rate the therapist highly enough and I loved the treatment, I can not wait to go back for more. P.S check with the salon if they still take Wahanda vouchers as it may have changed policy.
