Max Factor Colour Elixir Nude Pomade
85 years ago Mr Max Factor created the first ever lipgloss that was used by the screen stars of the 1920s. He named it lip pomade and the rest is history, its become a essential item for our beauty bags and the product we all reached for when testing the makeup waters for the first time.
Max Factor Makeup Artist and UK Brand Ambassador Caroline Barnes has created her first ever collection that pays homage to the Lip Pomade and introduces the latest lip innovation; Colour Elixir Gloss.
Nude Pomade is a limited edition collection of on-trend nude glosses that deliver a high-shine finish without stickiness and leave lips feeling creamy and smooth.
What Caroline Says
”Lipgloss is an integral and vital part of any make-up artist kit. I selected these nudes based on a beautiful romantic SS14 trend; make-up will be gorgeous, young, fresh and whimsical. It’s a nod to his Lip Pomade, but with a modern, nude twist”
The colours are simply perfect, all 4 are beautiful but there’s slight tonal differences that you may prefer for your skin tone.
My favourite, this is undoubtedly the perfect nude!
Caroline –
”This is an ultimate nude lip colour and it should be part of every woman’s make up bag. Suiting all skin tones. It’s my makeup staple. It will perk up your look and create natural, healthy look when you’re feeling lacklustre.”
A subtle sparkle with gold tones, another beautiful nude that would look gorgeous over lipstick.
Caroline –
This shade conveys expensive lips – with accents of champagne it’s one of the most subtle gloss in my collection. It will have an incredible lip shaping appearance with its gold flecks and will suit all skin tones”
A delicate peach that adds just enough colour to the lips giving a rich creamy look.
Caroline –
”My supreme summer shade – peach continues to be on trend for SS14. The perfect holiday gloss it will enhance and flatter suntans and look really fresh. Day or evening, it’s a staple for your SS14 cosmetic wardrobe.”
A creamy soft brown that is great if you want add a slight deeper tone of nude.
Caroline –
”This gloss compliments warm skin tones and will go perfectly with a tan. Wear with a soft brow, rose gold on eyes and Lustrous Sand Gloss will create soft caramelised lips
The breakthrough by Max Factor is the moisturising, weightless feel, that won’t leave lips sticky like many glosses on the market currently.
