Keep Skin Hydrated This Summer

Keeping skin hydrated is imperative if you want to prevent premature ageing. Dehydration contributes towards lines and wrinkles so combined with UV rays you have a battle on your hands. During the Summer the air is often dry (in the UK) and with the air-con and perspiration skin can quickly become parched. I’ve hand-picked some of my favourite products to put that all important moisture back into the skin.

LA ROCHE-POSAY Thermal Spring Water

Not just a regular water spray, this thermal spring water contains anti-oxidant Selenium and a combination of mineral salts to soothe and soften the skin. Safe to use on sensitive skin and ideal for cooling on the beach or boosting moisture levels on a plane.

CAUDALIE Eau De Beaute

This ‘Beauty Elixir’ has reached cult status with fans from beauty junkies, makeup artists, designers and more famously Queen Isabelle of Hungary. It relieves tight skin, relaxes the senses with its soothing scent and adds radiance to to the complexion. VB uses this backstage on her models for a dewy finish!
Applied after makeup it sets it in place but also revives tired looking foundation by giving it a spritz and tapping over with a beauty blender.

THE BODY SHOP Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask

As the name suggests this is a moisture mask that can be left on, simply apply to clean dry skin and after 10 minutes tissue off any excess and allow any residue to remain on the skin for extra moisture while you sleep.

AVENE Soothing Moisture Mask

Apply a thick layer to the face and neck and as above leave 10 minutes then tissue of excess, this mask is rich in thermal spring water which instantly soothes dry sore skin and intensely releases all of the water’s soothing and anti-irritating properties. Safe for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic so you shouldn’t see any reaction or blocked pores.

EAU THERMALE AVENE Hydrance Optimale

An intense hydrating moisturiser for dry to very dry dehydrated sensitive skin. Rich in the Avene thermal spring water and is both hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.This can be used on sensitive skin and has been great on my normal/dry skin allowing my foundation to apply evenly. Apply a light layer to cleansed skin morning and night.
