Maybelline Color Show: Wow Orange & Mauve Kiss Review

When it comes to nail polish colours orange is always a safe bet for Summer. It works well on both dark and pale skin tones and enhances a tan beautifully. It’s a more energetic version of the classic red but still maintains a level of elegance.
Taupe however is not your typical choice when it comes to sunny season shades but I love the groomed yet understated effect you get whilst wearing these earthy tones.

I’ve selected these two as my tips and toes combo, wearing Mauve Kiss on my fingers and Wow Orange on my toes and as you can see it’s a beautiful marriage of cool and warm tones.

Maybelline Color Show Wow Orange £2.99
A true bright orange with a gel like finish and build-able coverage. One layer is quite translucent so I would advise applying a base coat and at least 2 layers. I have just 2 layers without the base coat and you can still see the free edge. It’s a perfect trend colour that would work well going into Autumn against the Khaki shades

A cool toned neutral shade that makes nails look groomed and grown up. If you like Nails Inc Jermyn Street you will like this, it’s not as beige as it has a slight lilac undertone. This goes on a little better than the orange, it is opaque with just 2 coats and no basecoat.

Both have a creme high shine finish and wear well, the price point is great and the colour range is fantastic. They provide high fashion shades suitable for all skin tones and I like that they’re readily available.
