Hi loves, last week me and Richard had some rare time together so decided to go for brunch around Jesmond. If you’re unfamiliar with the North East Jesmond is a beautiful area with gorgeous parks, restaurants, bars and boutiques. It’s quite an affluent part of town but has a large amount of students which keeps the area lively and constantly buzzing.

I’m quite passionate about the North East, at one stage I felt frustrated at the lack of opportunities up here with my line of work but brands have come to realise how much talent sits in this region and how hard working we are. It’s a little harder living outside of the country’s capital but it just requires more effort and a different direction. I want to do more lifestyle posts as the city is having a major revamp and there’s so many new shops, restaurants and entertainment venues providing excellent food and drinks.

Whilst walking around Jesmond we stopped by Arlo which is a bistro just off the main street. Inside it has a rustic feel and friendly atmosphere. There’s a good amount of seating space and the service was top notch, we were greeted immediately and given our tables. We received our order within minutes of placing it and never once felt uncomfortable by too much or too little attention some staff give.

As we had already had breakfast we just wanted coffee but I couldn’t resist the croissant and chai latte, no word of a lie this was THE best chai latte I’ve ever had and you know I love my Starbucks! Richard bosted about the espresso so ordered another, very unlike him.

If you’re in the area pop by you won’t be disappointed by the area or this bistro.
